Husband arrived for 10 days ....
Mother arrived for 1 month ....
Containers arrived ....
4 children started new schools ....
and the work goes on ....
I have been living in total dis-array for the past few weeks and it's driving me crazy as I have no idea where anything is! I yearn for the day when I am sitting in a 'proper' room again with everything in it's place.
I'm sorry that I have been away for so long but now that my sofa is back from under the plastic, the daily tears of my Tweenie's have finally dried up and I now have happy teenagers (social lives in full swing), I'll bring you up to speed with what has been going on in the place we now call home.
PapaB arrived in time to help with the unloading of the containers but we did managed to sneak in some R & R!
The Tweenie's bathroom went from this ....
The furniture from Dubai arrived, first the 20ft, followed 2 days later by the 40ft;
After unloading the crates, we found the tiles that we had been waiting for and tiling on the ground floor began;
NanaB has been my laundry angel whipping dirty clothes away and miraculously producing clean, ironed clothes within hours. She has also been a wonderful help unloading boxes, helping with the children and even grooming Millie!
With all the tiling going on upstairs this past week, trying to live a 'normal' life around the house has been a real challenge. The grouting in all but the entrance was finished today, so next week could be the beginning of 'messy' coming to an end.
Have a great weekend all.

Thanks Sandy, the contractor is going great guns and the work is really full on which is wonderful to see but, at the same time it is really difficult living amongst it all with children and dogs running around. Of course the arrival of containers in the midst of it all doesn't help! I'm sure once it is all over, we will both sit back and admire our achievements. Good luck with your remodelling.

Nice work so far. It's so much hassle redoing homes. My hubby and I are in the middle of renovating a 2 bedroom condo. We had to go to Europe for 3 weeks in the middle of it all and now we need to have it finished by the end of Oct....arrgghhh. Bonne chance to you all!
