Keeping things simple and not overworking them is always a good thing. I must admit though that the view from your balcony is better than any chair!!

Im starting to like this colour too and perhaps once I add the top coat of Cire Teintee, a type of satin wax together with a fabulous fabric? The other thing is, should I replace the
padding at the back of the chair as I have seen several in antique stores that are left as it is now?

One thing of sure Alison, its a different chair to the one Ibought and still a bargain at five Euros dont you think.

Welcome to my vintage life where I am living my dream renovating an old stone villa in the hills of Grasse, spending my time scouring the local flea-markets finding all things old, vintage and shabby to give this little old house a soul.

Here is a snap shop of my garden where I have big plans to grow as much home grown produce as possible, a place where the children can learn and experience hand's on where their food is coming from and I can learn to live with the land.
